Now that you can sound out 5 vowels and 21 consonants, we are going to further decode words or

Kenneth them!

 

2 consonants that work happily together to make a special sound are called consonant digraphs e.g.

t and h together = th as in with

                                th as in then

 

To Kenneth words, we colour the vowels green (Columns 2 and 3) and the consonant digraphs magenta (Column 3).

 

Kenneth has a capital letter because it is the name of a person.
